College and Career Readiness is a course designed to help each student plan for transitioning from high school to the "real world". The focus of this course is to prepare students with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to enter college and/or the workforce. This will include a blend of classroom, community, and work-based learning. Students in this class can expect to expand career choices, gain valuable work experience and insight, create a business plan, explore colleges and earn credits while working, build a binder that may be used as a portfolio, and explore a variety of college and/or training opportunities. The desired result for each student is to produce an adult who is a mature, experienced, responsible, and productive employee, and for each student to develop a roadmap to a meaningful career.
